PRIVACY POLICY

MaizeRunner is a soil-first tool for corn farmers that runs on your device. It collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no identifiers, and no diagnostics. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. This page is short because the data flows are short.

Your fields, soil tests, seasons, field operations, notes, and photos are stored only on your device, and in your own device backups under your control. We operate no server and keep no account for you; there is nowhere for your farm to go and no way for us to see it. river.io never receives your farm data.

MaizeRunner uses your device location for one purpose: to place fields on the map and to look up the soil and weather for that ground. When you map or detect a field, the app queries public services with the field's coordinates only — the USDA Soil Survey (SSURGO), ISRIC SoilGrids, Open-Meteo for weather, and Apple Maps for satellite imagery. No name, no account, no device identifier, and nothing about you is sent with those requests, and the results are cached on your device.

Your location is never sent to river.io, and the app works offline once a field's soil and weather have been fetched.

MaizeRunner Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that raises the field limit. It is handled entirely by Apple's App Store; river.io never sees your payment details and stores no billing information.

This site is static pages. The website uses Google Analytics and sets cookies for it. The app does not, and nothing described above changes. Our hosting provider may log requests (IP addresses and the like) as part of operating the service, under its own privacy statement. Full detail: the river.io website privacy policy.
