The Bonded Hold is the only station on the network that trades nothing at all, which is precisely its value. Dug into Ceres, the Hold is a customs depot and neutral warehouse: freight goes in under seal, sits in vacuum dark for as long as its paperwork says, and comes out untouched, unopened, and unremarked upon.

Every dispute the freight network has ever had ends the same way, with both parties agreeing to lodge the cargo at the Hold while the Auditor reads the contract aloud slowly. The Hold takes no side. The Hold takes a modest storage fee. The Hold has outlasted every argument brought to it.

For pilots it is a waypoint and an occasional client: bonded transfer runs pay flat, ask no questions, and look excellent on a service record. The vault floor is the quietest room in the asteroid belt. Depot staff consider this a product feature and price it accordingly.
