Triton is the far edge of the charted freight map, and the Holdfast is named with the company's usual precision: it is there to hold. Retrograde around Neptune, colder than every excuse ever filed, the station mines ore, cuts nitrogen tinted ice, and, in the celebrated Triton Arbor, grows catnip in the outermost greenhouse in known space.

Everything about the Holdfast is a long way from everything else, and the economics are honest about it. The dock fee is the highest on the network. So, reliably, are the freight rates. A pilot who works the Neptune run is either building a reputation or already spending one, and the Holdfast's dispatch office keeps respectful track of which.

The arbor's harvest ships in sealed lots that connoisseurs claim taste of distance. The station's cats decline to confirm this. They decline most things. It is that kind of posting, and the people who love it love it completely.
