PRIVACY POLICY

Corn 3000 · published by river.io LLC · effective at the 1.0 release

The whole of it

Corn 3000 is a single-player historical farming simulation that runs entirely on your device. It collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no identifiers, and no diagnostics. There are no accounts, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. This page is short because the data flows are short.

01 · What stays on your device

Your careers, save data, and settings are stored only on your device, and in your own device backups under your control. We operate no server; there is nowhere for your farm to go and no way for us to see it.

02 · The optional narration key

Settings offers an optional field for a personal Anthropic API key. If — and only if — you enter one, the app sends a short summary of your in-game season (year, state, crop, yield, in-game finances; nothing about you) to Anthropic's API over HTTPS to fetch one line of narrative flavor text, governed by Anthropic's privacy policy. The key is stored on your device and the app is technically restricted (App Transport Security) from talking to any host other than api.anthropic.com.

Without a key — the default — the app makes no network connections at all.

03 · The historical data

The game ships with a read-only database of public historical records — USDA crop statistics, NOAA weather. It describes the Corn Belt, not you.

04 · This website

This site is static pages. We set no cookies and run no analytics. Our hosting provider may log requests (IP addresses and the like) as part of operating the service, under its own privacy statement.

05 · Changes & correspondence

Material changes to this policy will be noted in App Store release notes and on this page. Questions: jeff@river.io.
